The SQL Book website teaches people how to use Structured Query Language (SQL) to create and manage databases and the data within them.

SQL Book is for newcomers to SQL as well as for experienced SQL developers and professionals.

SQL Book was initially created in 2007.

Authors

Nick Charlesworth

Nick is a professional, full-time developer with more than 20 years of experience working with database and web technologies. He has designed and created databases for many different applications with SQL queries driving the databases that sit behind websites, web apps, intranets, and mobile apps. During his time as a developer, he has successfully trained and mentored colleagues in using SQL.

In the early days of his career as a developer, Nick began working with Microsoft Access before quickly moving to SQL Server which is still the main database technology Nick uses today. Nick also has experience developing databases using MySQL and Azure SQL database.

Nick has insightful knowledge and experience of the many issues developers are faced with when designing, creating and managing databases using SQL. He seeks to answer some of the questions users will be asking in a clear, concise, but thorough manner.

Continued and up to date learning of the evolving SQL landscape and associated technologies is a passion of Nick's, which he hopes to share through his continued authoring of articles for SQL Book.
